The assignment was part of the World Bank’s Belarus Water Supply and Sanitation Project, Loan No 7589-BY. The 60 Million USD loan was split to several small components, this one comprising the studies, design, and supervision of works concerned with water supply networks and facilities in Mar’ina Gorka. The town with its 21 000 inhabitants have used of groundwater that was pumped directly to the water supply network without any treatment. Water quality met sanitary standards. The project aimed at modernizing building the new water intake with an iron removal plant, the waterworks’ clean water tanks and booster pumping station, as well as expanding the water supply networks. The Consultant provided: Feasibility study of the iron removal station plant and the necessary network connections (baseline studies, proposed development and feasibility analysis); Topographic, geo-technical, and water quality investigations; Preliminary and detailed designs, technical specifications, and bills of quantities for the bidding documents; Tender support; Construction supervision.
